Non-profit Status
Since late 2009, The Flying Platypi have held non-profit status under FIRST Team 2655, Inc. Since we are a 501(c)(3), team members learn how to apply for grants and we use our status to help fund other FIRST teams. During the 2011 FIRST Robotic's Conference held at the FIRST Championship Event, Team 2655 made a presentation entitled "Is Non-Profit Status Right For Your Team? Considerations and Application Tips". Materials from the presentation are avalible under team documents.
